Based on the learning network above, I feel like I rely more on online materials than the standard physical learning methods. There are three reasons which can cover that. First, as an international student, my understanding of certain subjects cannot be as fluent as I saw with my original language. I may spend 30 minutes to fully understand the logic behind a specific English concept but 5 minutes in Chinese. Second, during the physical class, I could not be 100% concentrated on every subject. When I was using online tools, I could trace back and repeat multiple times the place I struggled with. Third, the physical class has limited time with certain materials, whereas I can explore every background information behind the topic.

I have three courses this semester. Depending on the difficulty level, my CSC421, Artificial Intelligence class, connects most of the nodes. It means that I spend most of my time in this area. The least connected course is CSC375, Systems Analysis class since most of the materials are just group works.

I choose this activity just because I want to check my weekly learning process. In the future, if I’m going to work in an online learning institution, I will need to optimize the learning process for students. An overall network map is clear for observing learning activities.
